Notice is hereby given that a hearing will be
held at 2:00 PM Central Time, on Thursday, October 16, 2014, in
the offices of the Alabama Department of Insurance, 201 Monroe Street, Suite
502, Main Conference Room, RSA Tower, Montgomery, Alabama, as follows:
- Amendments
to Section 6 of Insurance Regulation No. 111 [Rule 482-1-111-.06], which
sets forth licensing procedures for credit insurance agents. The changes are to remove specific
procedures and merely reference the general licensing and renewal
regulations. (4 pages)
- Amendments
to Section 8 of Insurance Regulation No. 147 [Rule 482-1-147-.08], which
sets forth the details for becoming licensed as a temporary insurance
producer. The changes are to
incorporate the provisions of Bulletin 2012-01 into the regulation. (8 pages)
- Adoption
of new Insurance Regulation No. 157 [Chapter 482-1-157], setting forth the
details necessary to implement criminal history background checks for
insurance producers and independent adjusters. (8 pages)
- Adoption
of new Insurance Regulation No. 158 [Chapter 482-1-158], setting forth the
details necessary to implement criminal history background checks for
title insurance agents. (4 pages)
Any person wishing to
submit testimony at said hearing is requested to submit said testimony in
writing to the Alabama Department of Insurance, Attention: Legal Division, Post
Office Box 303351, Montgomery, Alabama 36130-3351. Any written submission of
testimony prior to the hearing will not preclude anyone from making an oral or
written presentation at the hearing.
