A Troy University student and football player has been charged with arson following a fire Thursday morning.
Nineteen year old Kevin Dansby has been charged with Arson First Degree following an investigation by the Troy University Police and the State Fire Marshals Office. The May 20th fire was reported to the Troy Fire Department at 10:28 AM. Damage to the building was minor.
Dansby told investigators he set the fire in his room at Alumni Hall in an effort to move out of the dorm. Bond has been set at $75,000.
