A Scottsboro man has been charged with illegally installing or inspecting Automatic Fire Sprinkler Systems in at least three Alabama counties.  State Fire Marshal Ed paulk announced that 47 year old Forrest Lee Gregory has been charged in Dallas, Etowah and Morgan Counties in Alabama  with operating in violation of Chapter 34-33-D of the Code of Alabama which requires such contractors to be licensed by the Alabama State Fire Marshal's Office.

"Mr. Gregory, doing business as Accel  Fire Protection of Scottsboro and Huntsville, continued his illegal and unlicensed operation even after a Cease and Desist order and criminal charges from this office as far back as 2001," Paulk Said.

In addition to the charges in these three counties, Paulk says the investigation into Gregory's activities continues throughout Alabama where he and Accel may have operated illegally.  Paulk asks that, "anyone who has an Automated Fire Sprinkler System which may have been installed or inspected by Accel Fire Protection or Forrest Lee Gregory, please contact the Alabama State Fire Marshal's Office in Montgomery at (334) 241-4166.

"Our main concern is for the safety and protection of the citizens of Alabama," Paulk said.
