Two Randolph County children died and their mother was critically injured when a fire destroyed their home early Friday morning, State Fire Marshal Ed Paulk said.
The fire originated when an unattended candle set fire to the home, which was without utility service.
Linda Nunn was able to get four of her six children out of her Roanoke home, but her children Keyshawn Allen, age 7, and Delavanta Allen, age 2, perished in the fire. Nunn was airlifted to the UAB Burn Center.
