The Alabama State Fire Marshals Office is investigating an early Thursday morning fire that destroyed a Walker County church, State Fire Marshal Ed Paulk said today.
Tubbs Church of Christ, which is located south of Jasper on Alabama Highway 69, is a total loss, Paulk said.
"We have deputies on the scene to begin the investigation," he said. "We have no further information at this time as the investigation is just beginning. We will be coordinating our work with the local law enforcement."
