A Parrish man died and his father was critically injured when an explosion and fire occurred at a small building early Saturday.
Michael Brandon Makemson, 20, died in the blaze, while his father, Michael James Makemson, 46, is in critical condition at the UAB Burn Center in Birmingham.
The explosion and fire are under investigation by the Alabama State Fire Marshals Office, the Walker County Sheriff's Department, and the Walker County Narcotics Enforcement Team.
