The old Rocky Head Baptist Church, located on Coffee County Road 243 near Elba, was destroyed by fire around 9:15 A.M. August 31st. Although the building was no longer used for worship services, it was used for storage.
Investigators with the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office and the Alabama State Fire Marshals Office believe the fire was electrical in origin and possibly weather related.
