One Vina, AL resident has been charged with Arson First Degree and Criminal Mischief First Degree following the investigation of fires set July 5th.
Chad Raper, age 26, was charged July 8th with setting fire to a car and the burning of an occupied residence at 6737 Highway 23 in Vina. No injuries were reported following the fire. Raper is currently being held in the Franklin County Jail under $20,000 bond.
Investigators with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, Franklin County District Attorney’s Office, and the Alabama State Fire Marshals Office say additional charges may be forthcoming as their investigation continues.
