Youth Recovering from Burns by Fireworks

Investigators with the Talladega Police Department and the Alabama State Fire Marshals Office are investigating the circumstances of a 13 year old being burned by fireworks which ignited while he carried them in his pocket.  The child reportedly had a pack of firecrackers in his left pants pocket when the fireworks ignited causing burns to both legs.

The youth is being treated at Children's Hospital in Birmingham, however, the injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
