A 6:50 AM fire today resulted in minor water and smoke damage to the library/media center at Bretling Elementary School.
Construction workers discovered the fire and assisted in the extinguishment by using fire extinguishers. The Grand Bay Fire Department was called to the scene to confirm the fire was out.
Investigators with the Mobile County Sheriff's Office and the Alabama State Fire Marshal's Office have determined the fire was intentionally set. The investigation is continuing.
