Investigators with the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office and the Alabama State Fire Marshals Office are investigating a fire at the Little Union Christian Church in Hayneville.
Investigators have determined that the building was broken into between Monday afternoon April 28th and Tuesday night April 29th. The church, located at 500 Pine Street, was set on fire following the burglary. Damage to the church is classified as light, primarily due to smoke and water. The fire was discovered around 8:30 PM Tuesday night.
