Two people were injured early Saturday morning during a mobile home fire in Geneva.  Shirley Absher Tyler, age 59, and Cody Tyler, age 6, were injured in the fire at 105 Ridgecrest Lot 27.  Shirley Tyler received third degree burns over much of her body and investigators described her injures as potentially life threatening.  Cody Tyler’s injures were believed to be less serious.

The fire in the single-wide mobile home was reported at 1:06 AM.  Investigators with the Geneva Fire and Police Departments and the Alabama State Fire Marshals Office say there were no smoke detectors in the home at the time of the fire.  The cause of the fire has been identified as a misuse of smoking materials in the living room.
