Investigators with the Valley Police Department and Alabama State Fire Marshals Office have determined the February 6th fire at 2155 County Road 388 was accidental and the result of an electrical malfunction. The fire originated inside one of the two singlewide mobile homes which had been joined together.
The four-year-old child injured in the fire and treated at the Valley Hospital has been released. The nine-year-old child transported to Birmingham is still recovering at Children’s Hospital in Birmingham.
