Notice is hereby given that a hearing will be held at 10:00 AM on January 16, 2003, at the offices of the Alabama Department of Insurance, 201 Monroe Street, Suite 1700, Montgomery, Alabama, as follows:
Revision of Regulation No. 3 [Chapter 482-1-003], which sets forth per diem subsistence and compensation incurred in the examination of domestic insurance companies and others. The purpose of the proposed revisions is to tie the reimbursement of interstate and instrastate travel to the per diem rates published by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners and to tie the mileage for personal automobile to that allowed for employees under the classified service of the State of Alabama. Revision of Regulation No. 9 [Chapter 482-1-009], which sets forth certain requirements applicable to industrial fire insurance policies. The proposed revisions encompass changes necessitated by the new producer licensing legislation. (6 pages)
Revision of Regulation No. 13 [Chapter 482-1-013], which sets forth certain requirements applicable to advertisements for disability insurance and other similar coverages. The proposed revisions encompass changes necessitated by the new producer licensing legislation. (47 pages)
Any person wishing to submit testimony at said hearing is requested to submit said testimony in writing to the Alabama Department of Insurance, Attention: Legal Division, Post Office Box 303351, Montgomery, Alabama 36130-3351. Any written submission of testimony prior to the hearing will not preclude anyone from making an oral or written presentation at the hearing.
