Following further investigation of an incident in Gulf Shores on February 25, local resident Stewart Brodie has been charged with domestic abuse and will also be charged with arson first degree.
Brodie, of 1109 West Lagoon in Gulf Shores, has admitted to setting an apartment fire around 5:35 PM Thursday. Although another apartment in the building was occupied at the time of the fire, no injuries were reported.
The Gulf Shores Fire and Police Departments were assisted in the investigation by the State Fire Marshals Office.
