Following a joint investigation by the State Fire Marshals Office and the Selma Police Department, three juveniles have been charged with setting fires at Selma Middle School.
Juvenile petitions charging the three with one count of attempted first degree arson and another of first degree arson were sought after two fires were set at the school yesterday. The first fire occurred in a restroom during the fourth period, while the second occurred on an auditorium stage during seventh period. No injuries were reported although the building was occupied at the time of the fires.
