The Commissioner has created the Division of Insurance Fraud which will become effective January 1, 2002, and has appointed Terry Raycraft to head the division. Mr. Raycraft has served as Associate Counsel at the Department of Insurance for over 16 years. During his tenure in the Legal Division, Mr. Raycraft has prosecuted numerous cases of insurance fraud. Prior to joining the Insurance Department, Mr. Raycraft was in the private practice of law.
The new division will handle various cases of fraud relating to insurance, which may be affected by pending legislation making insurance fraud a specific crime.
