A Sunday afternoon fire at the Coffee Springs United Method Church occurred when candles were left burning on a wood table.
The fire, resulting in minor damage to the church and contents, was discovered at 4:45 PM December 16th. The church is located at 163 East Church Street, Coffee Springs in Geneva County.
The Geneva County Sheriff's Office and the Alabama State Fire Marshals Office investigated the fire.
