One person was killed and a second injured Sunday morning when fire destroyed a mobile home in Jackson County.
Eighteen year old Christopher Glenn Thompson died when fire destroyed his family’s mobile home at 61 County Road 741 near Bryant. Richard Glenn Thompson was also injured during the fire.
Investigators from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and the State Fire Marshals Office determined the fire occurred after lightning struck the Thompson home.
