Notice
is hereby given that a hearing will be held at 10:00 a.m. Central Time, on Wednesday, November 7, 2018, in the offices of the Alabama Department of
Insurance, 201 Monroe Street, Fifth Floor Conference Room, RSA Tower,
Montgomery, Alabama, as follows:
Amendment to Section 3 of Insurance Regulation
No. 110 [Rule 482-1-110-.03], which sets forth the scope of the regulation
dealing with renewal of licenses of insurance producers and service
representatives. The amendment adds the
limited line of self-service storage facility insurance to those lines exempt
from the education requirements of license renewal, in accordance with Act
2018-455. The amendment will become effective
November 17, 2018. (3 pages)
Amendment to Section 6 of Insurance Regulation
No. 147 [Rule 482-1-147-.06], which sets forth the procedures for the insurance
producer examinations. The amendment
adds the limited line of self-service storage facility insurance to those lines
exempt from the producer examination, in accordance with Act 2018-455. The amendment will become effective November
17, 2018. (5 pages)
Amendments to Section 2 of Insurance Regulation
No. 159 [Rule 482-1-159-.02], which sets forth the requirements for grants
through the Strengthen Alabama Homes program.
The amendments make certain changes to the regulation consistent with
current procedures being followed in the implementation of the program and to
remove the comment that grants are limited to Mobile and Baldwin counties. The amendments will become effective November
17, 2018. (5 pages)
Adoption of new Section 5 of Insurance
Regulation No. 161 [new Rule 482-1-161-.05], which is added to adopt by
reference the 2019 version of the Valuation Manual developed by the National
Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC), to include the revisions made by
the NAIC in 2018. The new rule will
become effective January 1, 2019. (1
